Laura Kraut is a member of the U.S. show jumping team, a seasoned international competitor and an Olympic champion. Her successful international career has given her a wealth of experience, along with the ability to coach juniors and amateurs to the highest level of global competition. Her competitive résumé is extensive, having represented the United States at multiple Olympic Games, winning team gold in Beijing in 2008 and team silver in Tokyo in 2020. Kraut was also a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. team at the FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Tryon in 2018, as well as the silver medal team at the 2006 World Equestrian Games™ in Aachen.
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she once again contributed to the U.S. team’s success, earning a silver medal. Her résumé further includes numerous FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final appearances and participation in multiple Nations Cup teams, along with more than 100 Grand Prix victories worldwide.
In 2025, Laura Kraut enjoyed an excellent season, particularly within the Rolex Series. In Wellington, she secured an impressive second-place finish behind Christian Kukuk, followed by an emotional victory in Dublin, where she was the only rider to produce a clear round in the Grand Prix — celebrating the moment in her husband Nick Skelton’s arms. With several victories and podium finishes in Nations Cups, Laura Kraut continues to be a key figure for her team, bringing invaluable experience, consistency and composure in high-pressure situations.
