Quote from the latest winner

This one does feel very special. Dublin has always meant a lot to me. It’s one of those shows, one of the reasons why I love my sport so much.

I’ve come here in good years and in bad years, with really good competitive horses, but also through some more difficult periods, and I never wanted to miss this show. Unfortunately, last year I was injured and I had to watch it from my bed at home. That was a tough moment.

To come back this year, after having a horrible week, except for the two main classes where Yashin was unbelievable, jumping double clear in the Aga Khan on Friday and winning today, makes it even more special.

I never gave up, I always came back and tried hard to win that class. This is a victory that means a lot to me today.
