Zhang Xingjia is considered one of the pioneers of modern Chinese show jumping. He discovered equestrian sport during his teenage years through the family ranch founded by his father and began riding seriously around the age of 13, before continuing his training between China and Europe, particularly in Belgium. Quickly identified by the Chinese federation, he joined the national team and competed in several CSI5* events, notably in Shanghai in 2018 and 2019. The highlight of his career remains his participation at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021 with For Passion d’Ive Z. Representing China in both the individual and team jumping competitions, he finished 11th with the team and 65th individually. He regularly competes in CSI2*, CSI3*, and CSI4* events across Europe and China, taking part in classes up to 1.50 m level. Among his recent results, he competed at the CSI3* held at the Beijing National Stadium in 2025, recording several placings in international classes and Grand Prix events.
