Paola Amilibia began her career competing under the Spanish flag, earning several notable results early on. In recent years, she has embraced a new chapter, now representing Mexico—her adopted sporting nation and second home, forged through family ties with her husband, Olympic rider Federico Fernández.
Dividing her time between Europe and the Americas, Paola remains an active competitor on both continents. She has represented Mexico in Nations Cups, including a memorable appearance at the CSIO in Madrid—a venue where she had previously claimed the Spanish National Championship title in 2017.
Her international record features appearances at CSI2* and CSI3* events between 2021 and 2022, in venues such as Saint-Tropez and Calgary, jumping at heights between 1.30m and 1.40m.
Her partnership with Gaudi is particularly significant. The pair captured her Spanish title and continued to compete at international level under Mexican colors. She has also enjoyed success with Diamonds Are Unique, riding in multiple CSI2* and CSI3* events across Europe and North America.
