Trained from childhood on her family’s farm in New Jersey, she quickly rose to prominence by winning the prestigious ASPCA Maclay Finals (2008) and the WEF Excellence in Equitation (2009), before stepping onto the international stage.
Her international breakthrough came with victory in the American Gold Cup (2014), followed by her first CSI5* Grand Prix win with Cynar VA (2016). She went on to earn team silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (held in 2021) with her loyal Don Juan van de Donkhoeve, and contributed to the U.S. Nations Cup triumph in Aachen (2021).
On the circuit, she claimed the CSI5* London Grand Prix (2023) with Don Juan, as well as her first Rolex Grand Prix at the Brussels Stephex Masters (2021). More recently, in November 2024, she placed 3rd in the CSI5*-W Grand Prix of Arcadia (1.60 m) with Don Juan and 3rd in a 1.50 m class with Naomi van het Keizershof. In August 2025, she finished 15th in the CSI4* Grand Prix of Valkenswaard (1.55 m) with Cayman de Poteau Z and 13th in the CSI2* Grand Prix (1.45 m) with Galaxy Girl.
Jessica is also recognized for the strength of her training and mentorship, having worked with leading figures such as Edwina Tops-Alexander and Jan Tops in Valkenswaard. Today, as a dynamic figure on the global show jumping scene, Jessica Springsteen embodies a rare blend of passion, elegance, consistency, and respect for the horse.
