Born in 1982 on Sweden’s Gotland island, Erika Lickhammer-Van Helmond began riding at age five and knew by eleven that horses would be her life. She has competed in numerous CSI2* and CSI3* events with horses like Liberty Man, Donatelle VH Lambroeck, and Saratoga LW. She represented Sweden in the 2011 Lisbon Nations Cup, contributing to the team’s win. Erika is also a dedicated breeder and coach, based at VHL Stables, where she develops young horses and mentors riders.
