Emilio Bicocchi is a prominent figure in Italian equestrian sports, having represented Italy in multiple World Equestrian Games and European Championships. Bicocchi has secured three Italian National Championship titles and has been a key member of the Italian team in several Nations Cups. He is also known for his dedication to training young horses, many of which he has developed from the ground up. In December 2022, he became the first Italian rider to join the Board of Directors of the International Jumping Riders Club.
