Derin Demirsoy was trained from a young age in Turkey before continuing his development in Europe, notably in the Netherlands and Belgium. He quickly gained recognition in the youth categories by winning several international titles. One of his first major achievements came in 2011 when he earned an individual silver medal at the 2011 European Junior Show Jumping Championships.
At senior level, he progressively established himself on the international circuit with victories and Grand Prix placings in CSI3* and CSI4* competitions, notably in Drammen and across several stages of the European circuit. He also achieved significant results in Nations Cup competitions with Turkey, including a team victory in Sopot, confirming his role as a key member of the national team.
He has also competed at major championships, including the 2022 FEI World Championships and European Championships, recording individual results around mid-table positions. More recently, he has continued to compete at CSI5* level, achieving placings in classes up to 1.55 m and 1.60 m.
