With over 850 international appearances and 25 official wins since 2010, Andrés Azcárraga has carved out a place among Mexico’s most accomplished riders.
His career reached new heights in May 2025 when he claimed victory in the prestigious CSI5* Deutsches Spring Derby in Hamburg, dominating the 1.50m class in 39.98 seconds aboard Atlantica du Soleil Z—beating Latvia’s Kristaps Neretnieks and Germany’s Marcel Stevens. Just two months later, in July, he added another major title with a win in the CSI4* Grand Prix of Valkenswaard at 1.55m, this time with Contendros 2, finishing ahead of Dutch rider Harrie Smolders.
A member of Mexico’s Olympic squad, Andrés represented his country at the 2024 Paris Games, where he reached the individual final with Contendrosloin.
He is part of a distinguished equestrian lineage—his father, Jaime Azcárraga, competed in four Olympic Games—and continues to carry that legacy forward with discipline and ambition.
Talented, precise, and fiercely competitive, Andrés Azcárraga remains a standout on the 5* circuit and a key figure for Mexico on the global stage.
