Opening CSI5* Victory Goes to Steve Guerdat in Dinard

Seventy-eight riders lined up for the opening CSI5* class of the weekend — the Prix Les Estivales de l’Équitation, a 1.45m Special Two Phases — launching the Jumping International de Dinard 2025 in perfect fashion under the Breton sun.

🇧🇪 Abdel Saïd, first to enter the arena, immediately revealed the challenges of the round, picking up time penalties and knocking a rail with his mount.

🇫🇷 Julien Épaillard was the first to go clear, clocking an impressive 38.95 seconds aboard his ever-reliable Donatello d’Auge. He was quickly followed by 🇮🇪 Daniel Coyle and Incredible, also faultless in 39.14s.

Fresh off his European team gold last week, 🇧🇪 Pieter Devos raised the stakes with a smooth and fast 37.69s aboard Jarina J, taking the lead — temporarily.

🇫🇷 Roger-Yves Bost ignited the stands with a classic Bosty performance: fast, bold, and efficient. He stopped the clock in 35.81s with Embassy du Château, seizing the top spot.

But the last word belonged to 🇨🇭 Steve Guerdat. Riding his second horse of the day, Looping Luna, the Olympic champion delivered a superb round in 35.45s — clean, fast, and unbeatable.

 Final Podium:
🥇 Steve Guerdat (SUI) & Looping Luna – 0/0 – 35.45s
🥈 Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) & Embassy du Château – 0/0 – 35.81s
🥉 Richard Vogel (GER), the newly crowned European Champion, & Cubi Cubells – 0/0 – 35.94s

The Jumping International de Dinard is off to a flying start — and the level is already world-class.
