French Rider Alexa Ferrer Dominates the CSI5* - 1.55m Class

The second major CSI5* class of the Jumping International de Dinard delivered a thrilling spectacle on Friday afternoon, as 37 riders took on the 1.55m Table A with Jump-Off.

To earn a place in the jump-off, riders needed to produce a clear round over a demanding round — and it was Max Kühner (AUT) who set the tone, opening the class with a clean ride aboard Blues d’Aveline. He was quickly joined by Gerfried Puck (AUT) and Equitron Naxcel V, confirming there would be a jump-off.

The clear rounds kept coming: Alexa Ferrer (FRA) joined the list with Vitalhorse Fleur d’Oz, followed by Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) & Jordan Molga M, Nina Mallevaey (FRA) & Dynastie de Beaufour, Kevin Staut (FRA) & New Libero One d’Asschaut, and Carly Anthony (USA) & Heavenlyw. A total of seven combinations earned their place in the final showdown.

In the jump-off, Kühner returned first and took all the risks, but an unfortunate rail kept him out of contention.

Gerfried Puck, already in top form this week, laid down the first double clear, but Alexa Ferrer raised the bar with a brilliant, bold round in 38.37s, claiming the lead.

Kevin Staut, defending Rolex Grand Prix winner, gave it everything — clear and extremely fast — but crossed the timers just behind in 38.53s, slotting into second place.

Closing out the podium, Carly Anthony (USA) delivered another double clear in 38.67s with Heavenly W.
